Angelina Jolie Embraces Homesteading and Sustainable Living on Upstate New York Farm

Angelina Jolie is known for many things: her acting career, her humanitarian work, and her family. But did you know that she is also a homesteader? That’s right – this Hollywood star has embraced the rural lifestyle and is living on a farm with her children.

Jolie purchased the 100-acre property in upstate New York in 2017. The estate includes a main house, several barns, and plenty of land for farming and animals. According to reports, Jolie was drawn to the property because of its privacy and natural beauty.

Since moving to the farm, Jolie has been very hands-on with maintaining the property. She has been seen working in the garden, caring for chickens and bees, and even mowing the lawn herself. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Jolie said that she enjoys being able to provide fresh produce for her family and friends.

But it’s not just about growing food – Jolie is also committed to sustainable living practices. She uses solar panels to power some of the buildings on her property and has installed rainwater harvesting systems to irrigate crops during dry spells.

Jolie’s commitment to sustainability goes beyond just her own homestead – she is also involved in environmental activism around the world. In 2016, she became a visiting professor at the London School of Economics where she teaches courses on women’s rights and environmental issues.

In addition to farming and activism work, Jolie is still active in Hollywood as both an actress and filmmaker. She recently directed “First They Killed My Father,” which depicts life under Khmer Rouge regime through story-telling from Ung Loung’s perspective who experiences loss after loss at such young age till he becomes child soldier before escaping from Cambodia into Thailand refugee camps due war between Vietnam-Cambodia conflict back then; next year they have announced upcoming movie called “Those Who Wish Me Dead” which will be released on May 14, 2021.

Despite her busy schedule, Jolie always makes time for her family. She has six children – three biological and three adopted – and they are often seen accompanying her on trips around the world. In fact, some of Jolie’s children have even joined in on the homesteading fun – her daughter Shiloh reportedly loves to ride horses and help out with the animals on the farm.

Jolie’s decision to embrace a rural lifestyle may seem surprising to some, but it is actually part of a growing trend. More and more people are leaving city life behind in search of a simpler way of living. Homesteading allows individuals to be self-sufficient while also being connected to nature and community.

In conclusion, Angelina Jolie may be best known for her work as an actress and humanitarian activist, but she is also an inspiring example of how one can live sustainably off-the-grid through homesteading practices. Her commitment to sustainable living practices goes beyond just her own homestead; it extends into environmental activism around the world too!
