One of the main advantages of pastured poultry is that it allows birds to graze on fresh grasses, weeds, insects, and seeds rather than confined to indoor feedlots or cages with artificial diets. This can improve their nutrition profile by increasing omega-3 fatty acids and reducing omega-6 ones as well as boosting vitamins E & D levels leading to more nutritious meat products for consumers.

Moreover, pasturing reduces manure management issues since the birds spread their droppings over the land instead of piling them up in one place which may lead to soil fertility improvement when practiced sustainably.
