Propagation refers to the various methods used to reproduce plants from cuttings or division instead of seeds. This technique enables you to multiply your favorite plants quickly, create new cultivars by grafting or crossbreeding different species or varieties, and rejuvenate old or diseased specimens.

– Freezing seeds in airtight containers or resealable bags after removing any remaining moisture by drying them thoroughly on paper towels for several days

Always check your stored seeds periodically for signs of mold discoloration insects damage low germination rates or lack of vigor. If you notice any issues discard them immediately to prevent contamination.

Propagation Techniques Beyond Seeds

In addition to seed saving homesteaders can use various propagation techniques to multiply plants without relying solely on seeds. Here are some popular options:
