When incorporated into garden beds, it enhances water retention capabilities, promotes beneficial microbial activity, and provides a slow-release source of nutrients for plants. Its moisture-retaining properties also make it an excellent mulch that suppresses weed growth and insulates soil during extreme temperatures.
