Wagon Crash at Lazy 5 Ranch Leaves Two Women Seriously Hurt

A family member described a wagon that overturned at Lazy 5 Ranch, leaving two women with serious injuries, according to a report by WSOC-TV in Charlotte. The family called the crash a freak accident in the station's account, which is the only detailed reporting available on the incident at publication time.

No additional outlets have independently confirmed the details reported by WSOC-TV, and this article relies solely on that report.

What happened in the wagon crash?

WSOC-TV's reporting, relayed through the family, describes a wagon crash at Lazy 5 Ranch that resulted in two women suffering serious injuries. The station's account does not specify, in the material reviewed for this story, the exact mechanism of the crash — whether the wagon overturned, collided with another object, or was involved in some other mishap. The family's description of the event as a "freak accident" suggests the circumstances were unusual rather than the result of an obvious mechanical or operational failure, but the underlying cause has not been detailed in the sourcing available here.

How badly were the women hurt?

The family told WSOC-TV that two women were seriously injured in the crash. The report reviewed for this story does not include their names, ages, hometowns, or specific medical conditions, nor does it indicate whether either woman was hospitalized at the time the family spoke with the station. Readers seeking those specifics should consult the original WSOC-TV report directly, since no further medical detail was available in the material provided for this article.

What hasn't been confirmed yet?

Several basic facts remain outside the scope of the sourcing reviewed here. The date of the crash, the ranch's response, whether the wagon was pulled by horses or towed by a vehicle, and whether any investigation by local authorities or ranch management followed are not addressed in the available report. It is also unclear whether Lazy 5 Ranch has issued its own statement about the incident or changed any of its wagon-ride operations as a result. Because the only sourcing available is the family's account as relayed by WSOC-TV, this story does not include details that have not been independently verified or published by the originating outlet.

Where can readers find the full account?

The fullest version of the family's description, including any additional context WSOC-TV gathered on the scene or in follow-up reporting, is available in the station's original story. Updates to this story will follow as more information about the cause of the crash, the women's conditions, and any ranch or official response becomes available.
